Eiga is a french metal band based in Montpellier, south of France.

They contacted me many times to illustrate their artworks for different musical plateforms like Spotify. This project starts with their will to enhance the immersion of their live experience by putting up a backdrop. 

What is a backdrop ?

A backdrop is a wall hanging like structure that stands behind the band that helps identify them and decorate the stage. And with the upcoming album it had to be coherent with it.

The dragon is part of it and the flowers are a little graphic reminder of the previous album.

I choose to illustrate an asian like type of dragon to match the artistic direction with their use of a Kanji that stands next to their name. It was drawn on an Ipad using procreate and the graphic design to compose with the typo et and the image was done on Photoshop.

This backdrop is 200cmx300cm (6,5 ft x 9,8 ft)
